Adult Day Care - Caregiver Aide
Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
The CAREGIVER AIDES works under the direct supervision of the CENTER DIRECTOR. Conducts activities for clients, assists with meals and snacks for clients, performs grooming as needed, evaluates and documents client progress, and performs other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. CONDUCTS ACTIVITIES FOR CLIENTS: assists in planning weekly schedule of activities; conducts activities for clients.
2. ASSISTS WITH MEALS AND SNACKS FOR CLIENTS: prepares and serves scheduled snacks daily; assists in serving lunch trays; assists in cleanup related to food service.
3. EVALUATES AND DOCUMENTS CLIENT PROGRESS: assists in evaluating and documenting progress and special needs of each client.
4. PERFORMS OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
Additional Information
Part-time; up to 28 hours per week
$11.00 per hour
11 paid holidays, 403(b) contribution option
After 1-year of employment: 403(b) employer match, paid vacation and option of voluntary-insurance plans.
Basic Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma with two years' experience working with elderly or other related experience. Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements upon approval of Director of Senior Services, if such substitution does not violate program regulations and requirements.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: At the time of employment, or shortly thereafter, must have completed CPR and first aid training. Must maintain clean Criminal Record status.
