Position Title

In-Home Service Caseworker - Newton County

Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:
The Caseworker works under the direct supervision of the County Registered Nurse and provides the necessary day-to-day supervision of Personal Care Assistants (PCA), which includes paperwork for hiring, scheduling and assuring that PCA abides within agency/state/federal law compliance. The Caseworker reviews PCA Electronic Visit Verifications for accuracy, timeliness, plan of care compliance and submits work record to payroll department for processing. The Caseworker reviews the client service plans of care with the Registered Nurse, assuring task and time frequency is delivered.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Working environment is primarily working in an office setting, with some travel to the client’s home required in all types of weather

$12.25 per hour

Basic Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of health problems and needs of elderly
Knowledge of services available
Ability to complete forms and prepare reports
Ability to communicate with other health professionals
Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Must be able to drive and provide own transportation

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Position requires a skilled professional who has have completed two (2) years of full-time study at an accredited institution of higher learning. An individual who has a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma may substitute one (1) year of full-time employment in a supervisory capacity in a healthcare facility or community-based agency for one (1) year at an institution of higher education. Must have and maintain valid driver’s license and current automobile liability insurance.
